GEEPAPA ENTERPRISES, INCORPORATED HISTORY

GEEPAPA Enterprises, Incorporated was established in August of 2001 with a FEIN of 38-3621046 at the same time that Team Electronics was purchased. The financing of this purchase was provided by Republic Bank and guaranteed by an SBA loan. This was an eight year loan and it was paid off in less than five years.

Initially, Team was a car stereo and audio retail store and installer as well as a home theatre surround sound retail store and installer. In addition, it also was a provider of Alltel cell phones and associated cell phone equipment.

In 2003, the property at 2220 Sixth Avenue North in Escanaba, Michigan, was purchased. This is the current site of Team Electronics as well as the headquarters of Geepapa Enterprises, Incorporated.

Gradually over time the emphasis on sales of cell phones and accessories as well as related equipment became the main core of business. Based on a philosophy centered on three (3) areas including Customer service, Advertising and Employee training, the business grew with the explosion of cell phones that is still currently enjoyed. Success allowed Team to become a leader in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for cell phones. Encouraged by Alltel to expand a business that was so successful, Team built an Alltel agent store in Menominee, Michigan. This store opened in November of 2007.

Encouraged by the success in both Escanaba and Menominee, an Alltel agent store in Marquette was purchased in February of 2008. Team now had attained a reputation of being the Premier Alltel Agent in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Encouraged by Alltel to go further, Team next built another branded store in Iron Mountain which opened in August of 2008.

In the spring of 2009 Team secured a second SBA loan and built another branded store in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. This new store opened in February 2009.

In the fall of 2009 Verizon bought Alltel and the customer base went from 17 million to 84 million allowing Team to be associated with the largest cell phone company in the world. Shortly after this change over, Team bought out an agent store in Negaunee bringing their total store count to six(6). Four(4) of these were properties Team owns and two(2) were leased properties. The name was changed from Team Electronics to TEAM Wireless as the sales were now almost exclusively cell phones and related equipment.

The growth continued with the opening of a new store in Crystal Falls, Michigan in June, 2010 and another leased store in Houghton, Michigan in August, 2010. In 2011 TEAM expanded into Ironwood and Iron River. This brought the total number to 10 TEAM wireless stores across the Upper Peninsula.
